60th Class Reunion
June 29 – 30, 2015
We hope you have reserved June 29th and 30th and are planning to join us to celebrate our graduation from DCHS 60 years ago!
Plans have been made for two “get togethers”:
Monday, June 29-- Dinner at the Machine Shed just east of I-35 at 11151 Hickman Road, Urbandale 515-270-6818.
Tuesday, June 30--Brunch at the Raccoon Valley Bank Community Room on the east edge of Dallas Center on Highway 44.

4:30 – 6:00 Get together time—order soft drinks, beer and other drinks at the bar
5:45 Time to take a class picture—bring your own camera or electronic device
6:00 Order dinner from the Machine Sheds’ large menu
Following dinner Carl will lead us in a time of sharing and in remembering our classmates who are not with us.
The dining room is available to us until the restaurant closes at 10 PM.
There is ample space for us to display scrapbooks, photo albums, or any other memorabilia you wish to share with classmates.

Fresh fruit
Martha’s cinnamon rolls
Juice and coffee (regular and decaffeinated)
And—a surprise!
The brunch is sponsored by several classmates.
Reservations for the 60th DCHS Class Reunion—Due June 15, 2015.
We hope you will be able to attend both events! If you are unable to attend we encourage you to send us a note and pictures so they can be shared with classmates at the reunion.

60th YEAR CLASS REUNION
June 29-30, 2015
Can you believe we graduated 60 years ago?
We hope to have a great turnout for our 60th class reunion on June 29-30, 2015.
On Monday, June 29, there will be time for informal conversation in the afternoon followed by a dinner in the evening.
We hope you will join us for a morning brunch on Tuesday morning, June 30.
So, mark your calendars now to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our graduation with your classmates.
We will send more details later this year.

Please mark your 2015 Calendars for our 60th class reunion to be held June 29-30, 2015.
We will gather for reminiscing and dinner on Monday, June 29 at the Machine Shed in their private room. The restaurant is just east of I-35 at 11151 Hickman Road in Des Moines. Nearby are several hotels (the Comfort Inn is on the property) and Iowa’s outdoor farm museum, Living History Farms.
Tuesday morning plan to join us for brunch in Dallas Center at the Raccoon Valley Bank, just east of town.
More details will be sent to each of you in the spring.
We would like to add photos to the video Bob and Rose produced for us in 1990. Please send to Kay any photos of reunions or of high school days you may have that are not on their video.

Spring at Last—Almost!
Here in Iowa the grass in getting green, the daffodils and forsythia are blooming, and I have put away my mittens and winter coat. It was a long winter! But, last night we had snow flurries to remind us that winter isn’t eager to leave.
I hope you have reserved June 29 and 30th to celebrate our graduation from DCHS 60 years ago!
We will begin with time to “reminisce” and “”catch up” in our own room at the Machine Shed restaurant, 11151 Hickman Road—just east of I-35 at the Hickman exit. The restaurant was remodeled in November but continues to have its “country” vibe—the wait staff wears bib overalls and checkered shirts. You will be able to order off their large menu—everything from soup and salads to their classic fried chicken, meatloaf, pork chops, fish and steaks. There is “truly something for everyone.” Be sure to save room for their special dessert—apple dumplings!
The next morning (Tuesday) we hope you will join us for conversation at our traditional brunch at the Raccoon Valley Bank on the east edge of Dallas Center.
For those who may need to make hotel reservations there are a number of hotels on the western side of Des Moines. Next door to the Machine Shed are two hotels:

(This hotel is currently being completely renovated and rebranded. They told me they would be accepting reservations after the middle of April)

I hope those who are coming from some distance will plan on spending some time exploring Des Moines; The City in 2015 is not the same city we remember from 1955!
