Avis R Fry, 67, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 22. 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday July 25 at the Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery in Dallas Center.

Avis Roberta was born the daughter of Dwight Edwin and Catherine Bert Allen on April 2, 1936, in Detroit, KS. She married Orval Dale Fry on September 14,1957 in Dallas Center. Avis had been a resident of Dallas Center since she was 9 years old. She was a graduate of Dallas Center High School and was a homemaker all her life.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, Orval "Dale" Fry of Dallas Center; two sons, Dean Dale Fry of St. - Louis, M0. and Morris Lee Fry of Grimes; two daughters Rebecca Arlene Rupp of Des Moines and Aida Eileen Fry of Dallas Center; one brother, Reece "Bert" Allen of Tacoma, WA; one sister, Lois Allen of Dallas Center; and several nieces and nephews. Avis was preceded into eternal life by her parents; three brothers, Paul Allen, Keith Allen and Ed Allen; and an infant son, Scott Allen Fry.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center.
