I am living in Lubbock, Texas. My wife, Donna, and I are working full time. I work for Alamosa PCS, a Sprint PCS affiliate, at the corporate headquarters here in Lubbock. I am a Facility Analyst and do billing verification for all of our leased telephone facilities. My wife, Donna, works for PNS (Physicians Network Service) as a Nurse Practitioner. She is the provider at a rural health clinic in Shallowater, about 10 miles from Lubbock.
We both enjoy movies and usually see at least one movie a week. We enjoy spending time with grandkids. Donna has two grandkids living here in Lubbock, so this gives us ample opportunity to spoil them.
Donna and I were married in November of 1999. I have three kids from my previous marriage. Kim and his wife Diana, who live in Burlington, Washington have two kids, Jacqline and Brandon. Kurt is single and lives in Austin, Texas. Keri and her husband Phil live in Dallas, Texas and they have one boy, Joshua.
Donna has two kids, Michael and his wife Beckie, who live in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They have one daughter, Claire. Sandy is a divorced mom living here in Lubbock. She has two kids, Ashley and Zane.
After High School, I went to college at Iowa State and graduated in 1959 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. I went into the Air Force in July 1959 and went thru pilot training. After training, I was stationed at Minot AFB and flew the F106 airplane. I got married while stationed at Minot. I then went to work for Honeywell in Minneapolis for 8 years. During this time, we adopted three children, Kurt, Kim, and Keri. I then took a job in Winona, MN, for a small company that also made temperature controls. After two years, I decided to look for jobs in warmer climates, which led to me moving to Lubbock, Texas. I worked for Texas Instruments, then went to Litton Industries for 8 years, then went to Hicks and Ragland Engineering. There I worked with the small rural telephone companies as a consulting engineer for almost 20 years. I then went to Alamosa about three years ago.
I remember arguing with the teachers a lot. I remember watching the World Series games on TV in study hall at the high school. I just remember a lot of good times during school and also all the school activities.
I remember all the things we did in band, especially the trips and all the fun we had cutting up in band practice. I also remember a lot of good parties at friend’s houses and going sledding at Cory’s hill in the wintertime.
