On , November 16,1974 Sandy wrote to Clarence and Coleen :
"I didn't really   mean to make you wait a whole year to hear from us, but your letter caught us at a very busy time.
Jim and I were both in school - he in law school and I in a Master's Program - and both working half time besides, so until the last couple of months, even my Mother was doing well to hear from me.
Besides, the long delay has given me time to get over the shock of seeing in black and white that it's been nearly 20 years since high school.
While it's easy to believe that much time has passed, it's not easy to believe that we're all that old!"
In 1980 Sandy published her disertation, DECISION MAKING PROCESSES INVOLVED IN CURRICULUM CHANGES AS PERCEIVED BY FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATORS IN FLORIDA COMMUNITY COLLEGES  at the University of Florida.
