July, 2005, 50th Anniversary High School Graduation, Dick Wrote
I’m retired, I think, but wondering when I had time to have a full time job. I have four properties to keep me busy plus family to help. I have five cars we like to take to car shows and travel in. I’m working on and collecting classic cars.
Carole and I will celebrate 40 years of marriage in October. We have three daughters that live in Dallas Center and Dexter, five grandchildren ages 14 to 28, and our pride and joy, a great grandson who is seven months old.
I worked 14 years for Lovejoy Construction in the Des Moines area and 33 years as an electrician. We bought and how have lived in my grandparents’ home for 40 years. I have remodeled many houses in Dallas Center for friends, family, as well as ours.
My special recollection from DCHS days is being king with my Aunt Rose as queen—as well as everything to do with sports.
