Yesterday, six of your classmates sat in a row to join an extended family and other of her friends to celebrate the memory of Darlene's life.  Surely her unique self lives on in the stories shared by her brothers, children, grandchildren and one great grandchild.  From all accounts the mirth and stamina that were her trademarks in high school stayed on to the end.

Saturday, I attended a sobering but inspiring farewell at the ADM High School for Nick Button who died of a heart attack October 17, 2006.  It was a warm and creative celebration of Nick replete with his cowboy hat, stories all around from his kids and grandkids and an escort to the gravesite by his horse.  Our neighborhood is gonna' miss Nick.

1.If you have footage taken at the 2000 gathering and are willing to share it with us at the upcoming gathering please let me know.
2.If you are equipped and willing to be the “official” motion picture recorder  of the Golden Anniversary Celebration please let me know.
